Scott McCabe

Scott McCabe is a committed unionist, socialist and educationist who believes in the Gandhian values of truth, non-violence, and social justice. He is the Treasurer of the Gandhian Peace Society, a charitable organisation that aims to spread the message of peace, love, and harmony through Gandhian ideals and practices.

Scott has a rich and diverse background in education and labour relations. He is currently an area officer at EIS, Scotland’s largest and oldest union. He previously served as the Curriculum Head at the City of Glasgow College, where he was responsible for the delivery and quality assurance of various courses and programmes.

He also worked as a lecturer at TUC, the national trade union centre in the UK, where he taught employment law and labour relations. He was a former unionist at the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, where he advocated for the rights and welfare of the firefighters.

Scott holds a Master’s in Employment Law and Labour Relations from the University of Strathclyde. He is also a proud father of Niamh McCabe. He is passionate about promoting education, democracy, and solidarity among the people of the UK and beyond. He is inspired by Gandhi’s vision of a world where everyone is treated with dignity and respect, and where conflicts are resolved through dialogue and non-violence.
